چکیده

Accurate geometrical reconstruction of human bones into three-dimensional(3D) view is currently required for clinical studies such as enabling the radiologists to well analyze the fractures or infections in the bones, evidence of arthritis, presence of dental decays, lung infections etc. CT-scan is commonly used to obtain accurate reconstruction of the human body. However, this method is quite relucent for the patients as it demands a large number of image data sets, typically, more than 100s of images for a single bone to reconstruct. Analysis using MRI are also meant especially to investigate the anatomy and physiology of the body in both health and disease. However, although quite accurate, CT-scan is not an appropriate 3D reconstruction method because of the high irradiating dose, high price and large input data volume. Thus, a 3D model reconstructed from 2D X-ray images can be a useful alternative. The generation of the 3D model is termed as 3D reconstruction from 2D X-Ray images. The reconstruction of the X-ray images can be achieved from both single and multiple X-Ray images. Many researches have been carried out in this field and the reconstruction has been carried out with varying accuracy. This paper presents a review of the existing methods for

تشخیص ساختمان داخلی فرش دستباف با استفاده از تصاویر سی‌تی‌اسکن میکرو‌فوکوس حاصل از تبدیل رادون معکوس

In addition to medical recognition applications, X-ray CT-scan images are increasingly found to have more innovative and widespread applications. Due to the ability of producing high resolution and high contrast images from soft tissues with low attenuation coefficients, the usage of X-ray micro-focus source, which has a very small focal point (in the range of micrometer), plays an important ro...

Automatic Extraction of Femur Contours from Calibrated X-Ray Images using Statistical Information

Automatic identification and extraction of bone contours from x-ray images is an essential first step task for further medical image analysis. In this paper we propose a 3D statistical model based framework for the proximal femur contour extraction from calibrated x-ray images. The automatic initialization to align the 3D model with the x-ray images is solved by an Estimation of Bayesian Networ...

3D and 4D Seismic Data Integration in Static and Dynamic Reservoir Modeling: A Review

Reservoir modeling is the process of generating numerical representations of reservoir conditions and properties on the basis of geological, geophysical, and engineering data measured on the Earth’s surface or in depth at a limited number of borehole locations. Therefore, reservoir modeling requires an incorporation of the data from a variety of sources, along with an integration of knowledge a...

Modeling and Measurement of 3D Deformation of Scoliotic Spine Using 2D X-ray Images

Scoliosis causes deformations such as twisting and lateral bending of the spine. To correct scoliotic deformation, the extents of 3D spinal deformation need to be measured. This paper studies the modeling and measurement of scoliotic spine based on 3D curve model. Through modeling the spine as a 3D Cosserat rod, the 3D structure of a scoliotic spine can be recovered by obtaining the minimum pot...

3d Reconstruction from Multi-view Medical X-ray Images – Review and Evaluation of Existing Methods

The 3D concept is extremely important in clinical studies of human body. Accurate 3D models of bony structures are currently required in clinical routine for diagnosis, patient follow-up, surgical planning, computer assisted surgery and biomechanical applications. However, 3D conventional medical imaging techniques such as computed tomography (CT) scan and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) have ...
